Abstract
Chapter 1 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 53, no. 1) “Internet of Things: Mobile technology and location services in libraries”
This chapter introduces the concepts and principles driving the Internet of Things (IoT) exploring several of the imagined possibilities for service innovations within Libraries with IoT technology. Examples of IoT technologies are introduced and explained. The chapter concludes by outlining important topics to be covered in the guide.
