Abstract

Chapter 2 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 57, no. 2), “Mobile Technology in Libraries,” discusses customer use of mobile technology in the library building. It covers how customer use of mobile technology has changed and provisions for meeting basic mobile technology needs—including adequate power, Wi-Fi, and comfortable furniture; ways to help customers charge their devices; and ways to promote mobile services in the building. It suggests fun ways to connect customers to mobile promotions, including social media connections and hashtag signs.
