Abstract

Many crises involve interruptions of access to physical spaces and materials. Chapter 3 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 57, no. 7), “Transitioning to Digital Services,” discusses how library IT departments can help their libraries transition to digital services to serve patrons and preserve as much resource availability as possible.

Author Biography

Jason Bengston

Jason Bengtson has been a library technologist for several years across multiple institutions and he has been a manager of library technology departments for over seven years. He has been the head of two library technology departments confronting major crises. He is the author of numerous published papers and book chapters covering various library technology topics, and he is the author of the book Library Web Development: Beyond Tips and Tricks. He is also an editor for the International Journal of Library and Information Services.
