Abstract

Crises often pose specific challenges for IT departments. Chapter 4 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 57, no. 7), “Challenges for Library IT,” describes some of those challenges and strategies for confronting them.

Author Biography

Jason Bengtson

Jason Bengtson has been a library technologist for several years across multiple institutions and he has been a manager of library technology departments for over seven years. He has been the head of two library technology departments confronting major crises. He is the author of numerous published papers and book chapters covering various library technology topics, and he is the author of the book Library Web Development: Beyond Tips and Tricks. He is also an editor for the International Journal of Library and Information Services.
